We did it again! 🧡

The Voiceover Social Paris 2026 brought us back to La FelicitĂ  on September 25th and 26th for our 2nd edition. Across the two days, we welcomed 80 people: voice actors, sound engineers, casting directors, voiceover agency representatives, and even newbies taking their first steps into this wonderful world. It was an incredible mix that really make my heart happy!

Two days together in Paris

With quite a few attendees coming from out of town, we decided to make a weekend of it again, just like last year. More time together, more opportunities to meet someone new, and less pressure to squeeze every conversation into one afternoon!

Estelle Hubert hosted Friday’s pre-meetup, ahead of the main gathering on Saturday, with one very clear instruction: “Glitter is not optional!”

Having a second edition feels special. Last year, we brought the idea to Paris for the first time. This year, there was already a shared story to build on, with room for plenty of new people to become part of it.

If you missed how it all began, have a look at our Voiceover Social Paris 2025 recap.

From first demos to 30 years in the industry

One of my favourite things about the VO Social is the range of people it brings together. This voice actor meetup in Paris includes so many different perspectives: the person behind the microphone, the person recording the session, and the people finding the right voice for a project.

And let’s talk about the experience in the room! Some attendees were working on their first demos while others had 30 years in the industry behind them. That means plenty of stories to tell, and quite a few changes along the way! Someone just starting out brings fresh questions, enthusiasm, and a whole new perspective. I love that this is a safe space where everyone can share, ask questions, and learn from each other.

And now, the part where I stop writing for a moment and let the photos take over.

If you were with us, I hope these bring back a lovely memory from the weekend. And if you couldn’t make it, consider this a little introduction to the people you could meet next time!

A big thank you to Stéphanie Lemerle for capturing the weekend! You’ll find links to download the photos in high and low resolution below the gallery.

Why the voiceover community matters to me

I love my home studio in Normandy. It’s cosy, it sounds good, and I get to spend my working days doing a job I love. But a soundproof booth is, by design, rather good at keeping you away from other people. Wonderful for recording. Less helpful for having a social life.

As an American voice actor based between Paris & Normandy, I work with people in different places, often without ever being in the same room. Getting together in person gives us something a remote session or a quick message can’t quite replace: time to get to know each other beyond the recording job.

That’s why helping to grow this voiceover community in France means so much to me. I want us to have somewhere to bring our questions, share what we’ve learned, and remember that there are other people who understand this slightly unusual life we’ve chosen.

A Virtual Christmas catch up

We don’t have to wait until the next Paris meetup to catch up!

Our Christmas Virtual VO Social is happening on Friday, December 4h, 2026, at 6 PM Paris time (CET).

Pop it in your calendar, get something cosy to drink, and join us for a festive catch-up.

From your own home this time… considerably less travelling involved. A Christmas jumper would fit right in, too.

Thank you for being part of it

A huge thank you to Estelle Hubert, to everyone who helped bring the weekend together, and to all 80 of you who joined us across the two days.

Whether this was your first VO Social or your second Paris edition, I’m so glad you came. Seeing this community take shape makes the planning worthwhile, and I hope you left feeling a little more connected to the people who share your profession.

Until next time, take care of those lovely voices!

Steph

PS: If you haven't yet, join the VO Social Paris Facebook group to stay updated on meetups (virtual + in-person), sneak peeks, and community chats. We’d love to have you there.

SEO-friendly summary (for those crawlers and bots doing their thing): 🤖👀

The second Voiceover Social Paris brought together 80 attendees across September 25–26, 2026, at La Felicità in Paris. Voice actors, sound engineers, casting directors, and voiceover agency representatives joined newcomers and professionals with 30 years of industry experience for a welcoming weekend of connection and conversation. The event continues to build a supportive voiceover community in France, creating space to share experiences, ask questions, and meet fellow voice professionals.

Co-organized by Stephanie Matard, Michael Ashtiany, and Estelle Hubert, with the support of Rob & Helen Bee from B Double E and the wider Voiceover Social community.
